As an actor (funny man and more!), Chris can switch from witty to gritty, endear the heartless and frighten the fearless. Having side-stepped his acting career for over a decade, he’s back and focused on playing dramatic roles that he is now ready for and experienced enough to take on.
It might interest you to know that as a professional actor/comedian, singer and musician, I have enjoyed a varied and successful career in theatre, television and film. I worked as a circus clown and in Children’s Theatre (including Theatre in Education) and satirical revue in H.M. Prisons. I performed in Plays (Greenwich Theatre, Stratford East, Ludlow Festivals…) and Stage Musicals including The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Riff Raff), Jesus Christ Superstar (Herod), Blondel (Duke of Austria) and was an original cast member of the award winning musicals ‘Barnum’, Les Miserables and Guys and Dolls, I have appeared at the RSC, National Theatre, London Palladium, The Albert Hall and O2 Arena and in numerous touring theatre productions (including Delphi and Austria). Other work includes: Television sit coms, comedy sketch shows (writing and performing), Pantomime (side-kick to Ken Dodd in Aladdin at the Wimbledon Theatre) Presenting, Radio commercials. I worked in Children’s Television for CITV, S4C Wales and the BBC/Cbeebies (Milo the Tweenie for 4 years/400 episodes including 2 appearances on Top of The Pops!). I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with some great actors, singers, directors and musicians and it was working with the Poet, Tony Harrison that inspired me to write.
Chris is presently due to start rehearsals for an online performance reading of A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit), a sleazy journalist (Harry Wainscot) in a new 3 part TV series and having come first in the UK regional finals, he is about to perform in the Global Finals at the World Monologue Games (with a piece he wrote himself). “I’m always available if there’s a decent part to play and someone wants me to play it!”
This is the edited version of recent a Twelfth Night online rehearsed reading performance in which I played the role of Feste. (All Details and Credits at the video below)
